NL: International journalists visit herb grower with new concept

This week, a dozen international journalists visited several Flemish ornamental horticulture companies. The initiative, organized by VLAM, aims to spotlight the Flemish ornamental horticulture sector internationally. VILT reports on the visit to Vegobel. The company recently launched a new concept: pick-your-own herbs.

"The idea for the pick-your-own herbs came about now that most retailers no longer want to 'fly in' herbs, and consumers are more concerned about sustainable and pesticide-free cultivation. Our new pick-your-own herbs fully comply with this, going 'alive' in their flow pack or paper packaging and arriving fresh and alive at the end customer, after which the consumer can easily and quickly get started with the organic herb," Louis and Steven Lauwers recently shared on this channel.
