Israel hits Gaza targets, destroys greenhouses

The Israeli army confirmed striking five targets in the Gaza Strip in the early hours of Sunday. In a statement, the Israeli army said its fighter jets had struck four targets in the northern part of the Gaza Strip and one in the south.

It described the raids as a response to three rockets fired from the Palestinian enclave into southern Israel. The rocket attacks had left no casualties or damage. An Anadolu Agency reporter said that the Israeli aircraft targeted open areas in Beit Hanoun in the north of the Gaza Strip and farm land in Khan Younis in the south.

Many greenhouses were burnt in the Israeli shelling, according to eyewitnesses. No causalities have been reported.
