The first phase of a new greenhouse complex in Kuban will be completed by the end of the year, reported the regional government press service.
The greenhouses are being constructed in Maryanskaya stanitsa. The agreement for the project fulfilment was signed during an international investment forum in Sochi in 2017.
The area for the greenhouse construction comprises 11 ha. The project presupposes year-round cultivation of cucumbers and tomatoes with the help of modern technologies.
Recently the overall acreage of greenhouses in the Krasnodar region exceeded 200 ha. According to 2017 results, greenhouse complexes have harvested 100 thousand tons of vegetables.
