Russia: 10 ha greenhouse complex planned in Sverdlovsk

A vegetable greenhouse in accordance with the Ultra Clima technology is being carried out by UralInvestAgro company in the Sverdlovsk region. The investor is planning to launch the greenhouses in 2019.

The company plans to construct its own energy complex producing electrical and heat energy out of liquid gas fuel originating from utilized production waste. The investments in the project amount to 106.6 million euros.

The Director of UralInvestAgro, Mr. Lut Saidulin, is confident that the project will allow for year-round cultivation of vegetables, providing the residents of the region with produce fresher than imported vegetables.

“The UralInvestAgro project is a big step in providing the region residents with high quality local products. Our region is a major consumer of agricultural produce with high consumer demand. However, the Sverdlovsk region is missing their own production units in several areas. One of them is greenhouse production, the region only meets 35% of its own demand in greenhouse vegetables”, noted the deputy director of the Corporation for the North Urals Development, Mr. Nikita Koskevich.
