Diniro Farms featured on CTV Windsor:

Dramatic increases of natural gas bills for Leamington growers

In a recent news item on CTV Windsor, Leamington greenhouse grower Jamie Diniro expressed his concerns about the dramatic rise of his natural gas bill under Ontario's new cap and trade program.

Diniro's December bill was $19,000, compared to his January bill of $41,000. It's an expense that could push him stateside, he says in the news item. Diniro says at this rate, he will be paying $200,000 more each year for natural gas and if it continues, he'll have to sell and move to Ohio or Illinois.
