US (LV): Sold out Marijuana Business Conference surrounded by excitement
Especially now that more states have voted a 'yes' for legalization, the U.S. marijuana industry is more booming than ever. While some in the industry say that they are experiencing legal uncertainty after the election of Trump, most of the entrepreneurs clearly aren't moving away from the huge opportunities that this fairly new investment market has to offer them.
In fact, while the event expected to welcome about 7,500 visitors, the organization eventually sold more than 10,000 entry passes. Only business people and investors were allowed in and had to buy an entry ticket which were on sale starting at 399,- USD. Eventually it even became too crowded in the Rio, that the organization eventually did not allow more people in due to fire safety regulations.
The Las Vegas event was surrounded by excitement around the recent recreational legalization of marijuana in the states of Nevada, California, Massachusetts and Maine. These states followed in the footsteps of Colorado and Washington state, which legalized recreational pot in 2012, and Alaska, Oregon and the District of Columbia, which did so two years ago.

Besides the trade show an extensive seminar and panel discussion program was organized, alongside hundreds of side events with a focus on the burgeoning commercial cannabis industry.
