Malaysia: Mardi promotes planting of vegetables, fruits using fertigation method

The Malaysian Agricultural Research and Development Institute (Mardi) has urged the public to plant a variety of vegetables and fruits using the fertigation method which is much easier and results in faster growth.

Johor Mardi director, Saniah Kormin said among the crops easily cultivated by this method were chilli and melon which were capable of generating good profits.

"This method of cultivation has proven to be a succcess and some who have practised this method have become agricultural entrepreneurs. Mardi is willing to teach anyone interested to apply this method.
