The national agricultural support scheme will change in 2024. Farmers will now be supported with financing for the construction of solar greenhouses, for the construction of protective greenhouses for production from hailstorms, or the construction of stables and stables for raising poultry.
The changes in the first additional measure will support the construction of new solar greenhouses with financing from 4 million to 15 million lek per ha, according to the decision "For some additions to decision no. 130, dated 6.3.2024, of the Council of Ministers, "On determining the basic criteria of the sectors to be supported and the amount of financing from the program fund for agriculture and rural development, for the year 2024" published in the Official Gazette.
The first measure will support farmers who will build new solar greenhouses of 0.2 ha to 2 ha for growing vegetables, grapes, and strawberries. Specifically, the benefit measure for vegetable production greenhouses will be up to 15 million ALL per ha. For greenhouses producing table grapes, the benefit measure will be 8 million ALL per ha, and for greenhouses producing strawberries 4 million ALL per ha.
The second measure envisages the granting of benefits for the construction of nets for the protection of production from hail in the existing blocks with fruit trees, citrus trees, and vineyards. The measure of benefit will be 50% of the total value of the investment, but not more than 1.5 million ALL per ha.
The third measure includes providing funds for investments in the construction of stables for animals and poultry establishments with an area of 1 to 5 ha. For the construction of animal breeding facilities and poultry breeding facilities, with a capacity of not less than 10 cows, not less than 100 heifers, not less than 10 sows, and not less than 10,000 poultry. The measure of benefit will be 50% of the total value of tax invoices, but not more than 15 million ALL per subject.
The fourth additional measure will be in function of the mechanization of agriculture. For the purchase of machines and tractors, financing will be up to 5 million ALL per subject.
The fifth additional measure is in support of aquaculture. For fish breeding baskets, the amount of benefit will be 50% of the total value of tax invoices, but not more than 20 million ALL per subject.
In total, the allocated fund for the implementation of these additional measures is estimated at 1.5 billion ALL for the period 2024 to 2027. For the year 2024, 500 million ALL is expected to be allocated. While the eventual unused differences from the fund of 500 million ALL, for the year 2024, can be allocated for the support measures, defined in points 2.1 and 2.2, of this decision.
