An explosion in a Mexican greenhouse last night took the life of 1 person, and several people were injured. The accident was caused by an explosion of a hydropneumatic tank, officials report.
According to local sources, the incident took place around 7:30 pm in the evening at Hortigen, a high-tech pepper farm in the Querétaro region.
After the incident, colleagues of those affected called 911 Emergencies. Civil Protection units and firefighters of Corregidora and Queretaro, as well as other units, arrived as soon as possible to help the victims. Ten of them were transferred to hospitals.
The total number of people injured has not been reported, nor has their current status.
A gas leak that occurred is monitored by the fire department, but is not a risk to the population.
