Greenhouse cultivation near cities brings us 'back to the future'

Where does our food come from? Where is it going? What journey does it take from production to our plate? Photographer and filmmaker Kadir van Lohuizen, together with director Doke Romeijn, explores the world behind our food in the United States, China, Kenya, Saudi Arabia, and the United Arab Emirates in a 4-part series. The series kicked off on Monday, April 8. The first episode of the series, which included a visit to the US, can be found here.

This episode includes a visit to Paul Sellew of Little Leaf Farm. He advocates greenhouse cultivation near cities. "We are going back to the future," he refers to bygone times when it was quite common to cultivate near cities with short supply chains.
